Is carbon footprint the same as ESG?
No. Carbon footprint is the climate impact of a product or activity. ESG is a broader assessment of the company.

Can we use a spreadsheet?
Yes as a start. The risk is that formulas, sources and versions drift. LCAB is built to gather that, so you can explain the figure next quarter.

Is a screening figure enough for the customer?
Often yes, if you say it is a screening and show the assumptions. A verified figure comes when the requirement is there.
