1. Data controller

LCAB (Life Cycle Assessment Beacon) on lcab.app is developed and operated by Windfeld Jensen Co., CVR 46591054.

Address: Lyngbyvej 83A, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark Email: info@windfeldjensen.com Phone: +45 23 97 94 91

Windfeld Jensen Co. is controller for personal data in connection with cookies and similar technologies on LCAB, unless otherwise agreed in writing with a customer organisation.

2. Legal basis

This policy is written to meet the requirements in:

• Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) • The ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC as amended) • Danish rules on cookies and similar technologies

In short: necessary cookies can be set without consent. Analytics, functional, and marketing cookies require active, informed, specific, and freely given consent before they are set. LCAB does not set the optional categories today.

3. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser or on your device. We also use related technologies such as local storage in the browser when that serves the same purpose.

Cookies can be first-party (set by lcab.app) or third-party (set by a provider). They can be session cookies or persistent.

Cookies do not contain viruses, but they can hold identifiers that, combined with other data, can be personal data.

4. Consent and your choices

On the first visit LCAB shows a cookie notice where you can:

• Accept all optional cookies • Reject all optional cookies • Adjust categories one by one

Consent is stored in the lcab_cookie_consent cookie and as a backup in local storage, so we remember your choice for up to 6 months.

You can change or withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings in the footer. Pre-ticked boxes are not used. Scrolling or continued use of the page does not count as consent.

5. Cookies LCAB actually sets

Necessary first-party cookies and similar that the platform sets today:

• authjs.session-token or __Secure-authjs.session-token: login session • lcab-csrf: CSRF protection for forms and API calls • lcab_cookie_consent: your cookie choice (up to 6 months) • NEXT_LOCALE: language choice (Danish or English) • lcab.theme: light or dark view in the signed-in platform

Local storage may also remember cookie choice and a few UI preferences, for example whether the Haddock panel is open.

Acceptance of the demo terms is stored in sessionStorage (lcab.demo.terms.accepted) for the current browser session. It is not an analytics cookie.

Legal basis: GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and/or (f), within the cookie rules for strictly necessary storage.

6. Functional cookies

The category exists in the banner for later use. LCAB does not run a separate functional tracking script today. The lcab.theme cookie belongs to the service you request in the signed-in platform.

7. Analytics cookies

LCAB does not use Google Analytics and does not set analytics cookies now.

The category in the banner is reserved. If we later add an analytics tool, this policy will be updated with the concrete tool name, and the script will run only after consent. Until then there is no cookie-based analytics measurement, even if the category is accepted.

8. Marketing cookies

LCAB does not set marketing or advertising cookies and does not run advertising scripts.

The category is reserved. If that changes, they are enabled only after consent, and the policy is updated.

9. Third parties

To operate LCAB, Windfeld Jensen Co. uses technical providers:

• Render (hosting and database) • Stripe (payment if you buy a plan; Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout) • Resend (email) • Google Gemini (only when you use Haddock or other AI, and only to produce an answer, not as a cookie on the marketing site)

Web fonts are served by LCAB itself, so the browser does not fetch fonts from Google Fonts.

10. Retention

The consent record is kept for up to 6 months unless you change the choice earlier. Session cookies are typically deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies have a defined lifetime depending on the purpose.

When consent is withdrawn, we stop further use of those optional cookies to the extent we technically control them. You can also delete cookies in the browser.

11. Your rights

When cookies involve processing of personal data, you have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent.

You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (www.datatilsynet.dk).

12. How to control cookies in the browser

Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies. If you block necessary cookies, login and other core functions may stop working.

Cookie settings in the LCAB footer control our optional categories. Browser settings apply more broadly to all websites.

13. Changes

We may update this cookie policy when law, technology, or our services change. For material changes in cookie use we may ask for new consent.

The current version is always published on this page with an update date.

Questions about cookies and consent can be sent to info@windfeldjensen.com
