What is LCAB?
LCAB stands for Life Cycle Assessment Beacon. LCAB is a guided platform that brings together product data, LCA and the digital product passport, so you can document and future-proof the products you sell.
You start with the bill of materials, documents and supplier records you already have. LCAB ties them to the product, shows what is missing, and gives you a screening draft you can use with customers and as a basis for third-party verification.
What is LCAB?
LCAB is where product data, materials, suppliers and documentation belong to the same product. Life cycle assessment, climate figures and the digital product passport build on what you have already gathered.
The name Beacon means a lighthouse. The idea is direction when a customer, a tender or a new requirement lands on the desk, and you need to know where to start.
Most teams begin with Excel, a bill of materials, PDFs and email. LCAB takes that in, explains the terms as you work, and keeps the data with the product it belongs to.
The result is a draft with your own figures. You can use it internally, with customers, and as a basis when you go on to an independent review.

Start from Excel or a bill of materials
Import the file you already use. LCAB suggests column mapping, marks gaps, and remembers the setup next time.

Run a guided LCA
The wizard follows the international method for life cycle assessment, ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, in business language. You get a draft you can explain, with the data you have entered.

Calculate a carbon footprint
When the climate figure is what the customer asks for, you can work with a carbon footprint to ISO 14067. That is GWP, not a full ESG report.

Prepare a Digital Product Passport
Product identity, materials, traceability and environmental data come together, so the passport becomes the next step from what you are already documenting.

Answer customers without digging
When purchasing asks about origin, an EPD or gaps in the data, the answer sits on the product. The compliance overview shows what is still missing.

Why was it made?
EU rules, customer demands and product transparency make documentation gradually necessary. CSRD creates supplier pressure. ESPR points toward Digital Product Passports. Many companies know the questions are coming, but not where to start.
Most SMEs have Excel, a bill of materials and an inbox full of PDFs. LCAB is the way in: a place to gather the files, language you understand, and a draft you can show the customer.
When data lives in five places, the search becomes the job. Teams spend time finding files instead of improving the product. LCAB exists so the structure is there from the start, and so sustainability documentation does not only belong to those with the largest teams.
